PlanetObserver offers you satellite imagery mosaics, processed in true natural colours with a global coverage.
A unique processing
Raw images, captured mainly by the remote sensing satellites Landsat 5 and 7, are assembled and ortho-rectified, in order to correct their initial distortion due to the earth’s shape.
Data are then processed in true natural colours homogeneously for the entire mosaic, by adjusting the three colours red, green, blue (RGB) that correspond to bands 3 – 2 – 1 of the satellite. Using the three colours (red, green, blue) that are sensitive to the human eye enables to create true colour imagery, as opposed to most imagery database available on the market that are processed in false colour.
From global to local
PlanetObserver imagery products offer both a global view of the planet and a detailled approched at the local level.
Satellite imagery database are available at different resolution levels, down to a resolution of 15m/pixel for large territories, and 1m/pixel for specific areas of interest. They constitute the perfect additional product to any other georeferenced database.
3D views
PlanetObserver offers a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), derived from the SRTM, with a global resolution of 90m/pixel. The combination of the DEM with PlanetObserver imagery enables to create an infinite number of 3D views. PlanetObserver offers the delivery of DEM data and the supply of 3D views according to your needs.
