For the new 2015 season, the partnership between PlanetObserver and Vulcania leisure park continues with “Planet unveiled”.

The attraction “Planet unveiled” offers to visitors a virtual journey around the globe to discover planet Earth’s landscapes and with a focus on volcanic regions. A museum interpreter from Vulcania operates a 3D navigation software that embeds PlanetSAT imagery and PlanetDEM elevation data.

PlanetObserver has greatly upgraded the satellite images of PlanetSAT 15 global base map. Visitors will now discover PlanetSAT 15 v4.2 latest version that features major upgrades:

  • Updates of more than 250 cities across the world, including all capital cities and major urban areas on all continents, before/after views are impressive!
  • Major cloud removal for all tropical regions, from Asia, Africa to South America, the Tropics are now cleared of clouds!

This is a new view of the Earth, even more beautiful and faithful to all urban and natural landscapes, that visitors will discover in a wide-screen movie theater.
