Satellite image of Montreal, Quebec

Image of the month: Satellite image of the city of Montreal extracted from PlanetSAT 15 imagery basemap

Located on the Island of Montreal, the city of Montreal has expanded along the shores of the Saint Lawrence river. The satellite image encompasses Montreal–Trudeau airport, Mount Royal, Old Montreal up to Saint Helen and Notre Dame islands.

Extracted from PlanetSAT 15 imagery basemap, this satellite image of Montreal is processed from Landsat 8 data collected in November 2014. PlanetObserver has updated more than 270 cities in PlanetSAT 15 basemap with Landsat 8 imagery from 2014-2015.

As part of our maintenance programme, we constantly upgrade the quality of PlanetSAT 15 imagery basemap by integrating fresh and cloudless satellite images.
