PlanetObserver showcase at IBC 2018
Maps for the broadcast and media industry
Every year, professionals of the broadcast sector meet up at IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) trade show in Amsterdam. This major event gathers manufacturers and resellers of sophisticated and highly innovative hardware and software dedicated to broadcasting (TV, film industry, web, etc.).
What’s the link between PlanetObserver and broadcasting?
Why is PlanetObserver at IBC? We have not turned into developers of solutions for broadcast professionals. However, we provide high quality maps that are embedded in those solutions. Basically, many broadcast professionals that are mainly TV channels use our satellite maps and 3D data on a daily basis.
We work with a number of broadcast graphics systems developers across the world, ranging from Europe to New Zealand and Japan. Some of them specialize in weather graphics solutions. Target users are in this case both news channels, weather channels, and weather institutes.
Those graphics systems embed 2D and 3D maps and imagery. They are perfect to create sophisticated animations such as great flyovers with highly realistic visual effects.
